Ivory Tower ist eine im Jahre 1998 in Schleswig Holstein, Deutschland, gegründete Hard Rock und Heavy Metal Band, die eine verdammt bewegte Geschichte hinter sich hat. Dabei begann alles so Erwartung/Hoffnungsvoll. Andrè Fischer (Gesang), Thorsten Thrunke (Schlagzeug) und Sven Böge (Gitarre) gründeten die Formation zusammen mit Stephan Machon (Keyboard) und Stephan Laschetzki (Bass) um bereits in den Anfängen, namenhafte Bands wie unter anderem, Motörhead, Doro, Fates Warning und Candlemass zu supporten. Leider ergaben sich in der Zukunft technische, wie auch personelle Probleme, die dafür sorgten, dass bis auf Thrunke und Böge keines der Gründungsmitglieder mehr an Bord sind. Zwar brachte man es trotz dieser erheblichen Schwierigkeiten auf bisher ganze fünf Studioalben, doch blieb der große Erfolg stets aus. Nun kommt man gestärkt mit neuem Sänger, Bassisten und Keyboarder zurück und präsentiert mit, Heavy Rain, ein echt verdammt starkes Album, welches gerade über Massacre Records veröffentlicht wurde. Passend zur großen Ostereisuche legen die Herren ein Metal Album vor, welches es verdammt in sich hat. Zehn brandneue Songs, die einmal mehr die Klasse dieser bisher unterschätzten Band beweist. Besonders Frontmann und Sänger, Lord Francis Soto, ist hierbei ein riesiger Gewinn und gibt mit seiner unverkennbaren Stimme der Band noch einmal verdammt viel Rückenwind, der allen Beteiligten und dem neuen Material verdammt gut tut. Das Ganze wird durch perfekte Riffs und treibende Rhythmen abgerundet, die über die gesamte Spielzeit verdammt rocken und das, mittlerweile schüttere Metal Haar, in Schwung bringt. Liebe „deutsche“ Metal Fraktion, zieht euch warm an, ein neuer Anwärter hat sich bereit gemacht den weg an die Spitze zu suchen. Von uns bekommt Ivory Tower schon einmal die volle Aufmerksamkeit und Punktzahl für ihr neustes Werk und eine Kaufempfehlung oben drauf.

Ivory Tower is a hard rock and heavy metal band founded in 1998 in Schleswig Holstein, Germany, which has had a damn eventful history. But it all began with so much expectation/hope. Andrè Fischer (vocals), Thorsten Thrunke (drums) and Sven Böge (guitar) founded the band together with Stephan Machon (keyboards) and Stephan Laschetzki (bass) to support well-known bands such as Motörhead, Doro, Fates Warning and Candlemass. Unfortunately, technical and personnel problems arose in the future, which meant that apart from Thrunke and Böge, none of the founding members were still on board. Despite these considerable difficulties, the band has released a total of five studio albums to date, but the great success has always failed to materialize. Now they are back with a new singer, bassist and keyboarder and present a really damn strong album, Heavy Rain, which has just been released on Massacre Records. Just in time for the big Easter egg hunt, the guys present a metal album that has it all. Ten brand new songs that once again prove the class of this previously underrated band. Frontman and vocalist Lord Francis Soto in particular is a huge asset here and with his unmistakable voice gives the band a hell of a lot of tailwind, which does everyone involved and the new material a hell of a lot of good. The whole thing is rounded off by perfect riffs and driving rhythms that rock the hell out over the entire playing time and get the now thinning metal hair going. Dear "German" metal faction, get warm, a new contender has prepared to seek the way to the top. We give Ivory Tower the full attention and score for their latest work and a purchase recommendation on top.
