Feuerschwanz feiern ihren zwanzigsten Geburtstag. Dies tun sie aber nicht einfach mal so, nein. Feuerschwanz wären nicht Feuerschwanz, wenn da nicht gleich etwas großes, etwas besonderes für die Fans bei herausspringen würde. So ist es dann also an der Zeit, etwas bisher noch nie da gewesenes zu präsentieren. Zum Geburtstag beschenken sich die Band, und natürlich beschenken sie in erster Linie ihre treuen Fans, mit einem neuen Album. Warriors, so der Name des guten Stückes, welches am 3. April 2024 das Licht der Welt erhellen wird, ist das erste Album in der Geschichte von Feuerschwanz, welches komplett in englischer Sprache präsentiert wird. So enthält, Warriors zehn der größten Hits, wie zum Beispiel, Bastard von Asgard, Memento Mori, Untot im Drachenboot oder SGFRD Dragonslyer, alle samt in der englischen Version als auch mit, The Unholy Grail (feat. Dominum, Orden Ogan), einen Nigel Nagel neuen Song und mit, Valhalla Calling eine neue Coverversion. Die 2004 gegründete und sich von einer einst im, Comedy Mittelalter-Folk Rock, ansässige Formation um Gründer Hauptmann Feuerschwanz, Band, entwickelte sich über die Jahre stets weiter und steht nun, spätestens mit Erscheinen des Erfolgsalbums, Memento Mori im Jahr 2021, an der Spitze des deutschen Folk Metals. Hier feiert man seit Jahren den Erfolg auf ausverkauften Touren und sichert sich Plätze als Co Headliner auf zahlreichen und namenhaften Festivals, wie unter anderem dem Wacken Open Air. Aber die Mannschaft um Hauptmann Feuerschwanz ist sich stets darüber bewusst, dass dies alles ohne ihre treuen Anhänger nicht möglich gewesen wäre. Und so gibt es nun als Dankeschön und Geburtstagsgeschenk dieses Album.
Sind die Songs, mit den beiden Ausnahmen, zwar alle mehr als bekannte Gassenhauer und fehlen auf keinem Feuerschwanz-Konzert, so klingen sie in der nun englischen Version noch einmal völlig anders und irgendwie neu. Die Power sowie der Spaß, den die Feuerschwänze und ihre Miezen von je her versprühen, bleiben auch in diesen abgeänderten Versionen erhalten. So darf ein „Cover“ Album, welches neben bereits erwähnten Gästen, auch noch gleich mit weiteren Künstlern wie, Chris Harms (Lord Of The Lost), Francesco Cavalieri (Wind Rose) und Patty Gurdy, bestens besetzt ist gern daher kommen.

Feuerschwanz are celebrating their twentieth birthday. But they're not doing it just like that, no. Feuerschwanz wouldn't be Feuerschwanz if they didn't come up with something big, something special for their fans. So the time has come to present something that has never been seen before. For their birthday, the band, and of course first and foremost their loyal fans, are presenting themselves with a new album. Warriors, the name of the album that will see the light of day on April 3, 2024, is the first album in the history of Feuerschwanz to be presented entirely in English. Thus, Warriors contains ten of the biggest hits, such as Bastard of Asgard, Memento Mori, Untot im Drachenboot or SGFRD Dragonslyer, all in the English version as well as with, The Unholy Grail (feat. Dominum, Orden Ogan), a new Nigel Nagel song and with, Valhalla Calling a new cover version. Founded in 2004 and evolving from a once comedy medieval folk rock band around founder Hauptmann Feuerschwanz, the band has continued to develop over the years and is now, at the latest with the release of the successful album, Memento Mori in 2021, at the forefront of German folk metal. They have been celebrating their success on sold-out tours for years and have secured co-headlining slots at numerous well-known festivals, including the Wacken Open Air. But the team around main man Feuerschwanz is always aware that none of this would have been possible without their loyal followers. And so this album is now available as a thank you and birthday present.
Although the songs, with the two exceptions, are all more than well-known hits and are not missing at any Feuerschwanz concert, they sound completely different and somehow new in the English version. The power and fun that the Feuerschwanz and their pussies have always exuded are retained in these modified versions. So a "cover" album, which, in addition to the guests already mentioned, also features other artists such as Chris Harms (Lord Of The Lost), Francesco Cavalieri (Wind Rose) and Patty Gurdy, is very welcome.
We give full marks and a clear recommendation to buy this great anniversary present.
