Frischer Wind aus Italien in der Powermetal-Szene weht uns dieser Tage eiskalt ins Gesicht. Die neue Formation Alterium stellte diesen Freitag ihr Debüt in die Verkaufsregale und feiert damit bereits schon jetzt riesige Erfolge. Kein Wunder, ist die Band doch das neue musikalische Umfeld von niemand geringeren als der Ausnahmesängerin, Niciletta Rosellini, die den meisten unter den Metaltern wohl als Frontfrau von, Kalidia, oder der Gothic Metal Band, Walk in Darkness, bekannt sein dürfte. Nachdem besagte Dame ihre ehemalige Formation, Kalida, trotz doch musikalischer Erfolge, besonders mit dem hochgelobten zweiten Album, The Frozen Thron, verlassen hatte, gründete sie ihr eigenes Projekt, zusammen mit ihren ex Kollegen, Paolo Campitelli (Gitarren) und
Dario Gozzi (Schlagzeug), Alterium. Hier, so sagt sie selbst, möchte sie ihr ganzen Qualitäten zum Ausdruck bringen. Dies beweist sie schon einmal sehr eindrucksvoll auf den ersten neun verdammt starken und eingängigen Songs des Debüts. Als Bonus oben drauf, gibt es hier noch eine Eigenkreation des Sabaton „Klassikers“, Bismarck. Neun verdammt ins Ohr gehende Powermetal Songs servieren die fünf Italiener und starten hiermit eine neue Ära in der Szene. Bereits jetzt kann man sagen, das sich das Material verdammt gut in die Szene einreiht und mit Sicherheit seine Fans finden wird. Rosellini bringt hier auch ihre Erfahrungen aus der Geek-/Nerd Kultur mit, welches sich bereits jetzt ein wenig in den Texten niederschlägt. Wir finden eine interessante Mischung. Man darf also gespannt sein, wie sich diese noch sehr junge Band entwickelt. Jetzt freuen wir uns aber vorerst einmal über das Debüt, welches wir euch da draußen nur wärmstens empfehlen können.

A fresh breeze from Italy in the power metal scene is blowing ice-cold in our faces these days. The new formation Alterium released their debut album on the shelves this Friday and are already celebrating huge success. No wonder, since the band is the new musical environment of none other than the exceptional singer, Niciletta Rosellini, who is probably known to most metalheads as the front woman of Kalidia or the gothic metal band, Walk in Darkness. After said lady left her former formation, Kalida, despite musical successes, especially with the highly acclaimed second album, The Frozen Throne, she founded her own project, together with her ex-colleagues, Paolo Campitelli (guitars) and Dario Gozzi (drums).
Dario Gozzi (drums), Alterium. Here, as she says herself, she wants to express all her qualities. She proves this very impressively on the first nine damn strong and catchy songs of the debut. As a bonus on top, there is also an original creation of the Sabaton "classic", Bismarck. The five Italians serve up nine damn catchy power metal songs and start a new era in the scene. It can already be said that the material fits in damn well with the scene and is sure to find its fans. Rosellini also brings her experience from the geek/nerd culture with her, which is already reflected in the lyrics. We think it's an interesting mix. It will be interesting to see how this still very young band develops. For now, however, we are happy about the debut, which we can only warmly recommend to you out there.
