Ich weiß nicht wie oft ich es bereits erwähnt habe, aber Live Alben zu rezensieren hat für mich immer diesen faden Beigeschmack, ob es gelungen ist die Atmosphäre eines Live Auftrittes auch tatsächlich eingefangen zu haben oder ob gar wie so oft kräftig im Studio nachgebessert wurde. Nun im vorliegenden Fall des Albums, The Tales of Nosferatu Two Decades of Blood von, Bloodbound, ist all dies völlig belanglos. Bloodbound machen wie im Jahr 2004, in dem sie ihren Anfang fanden alles richtig und genau so, wie es sich der gewillte Fan und Hörer wünscht. So beschenkt die schwedische Powermetal Formation nicht nur sich selbst, sondern in erster Linie natürlich Fans, Hörer und Käufer mit diesem Livealbum anlässlig des zwanzigsten Geburtstag von Bloodbound. Und ja, es ist ein wahres Geschenk, was Bloodbound hier servieren. Nicht nur sind die Schweden über die Jahre hinweg zu einer echten Größe in der Powermetal Szene herangewachsen, nein sie haben selbige mit so unzähligen Hits beschenkt, das es einige geschafft haben für immer in die Ruhmeshallen der Szene einzuziehen. Und wie nicht anders zu erwarten serviert die Band natürlich ihre großen Hits und Klassiker, gepaart mit vielen neueren Songs aus der gesamten Geschichte der Band. Dies alles wurde aufgezeichnet beim fulminanten Auftritt auf dem Masters of Rock Festival 2023, auf dem Bloodbound mehr als überzeugen konnten. Beinah perfekt wurde die Stimmung des Auftritts der Schweden und die Feierlaune der Fans und Festivalbesucher eingefangen, was das nun vorliegende Album zu einer wahren Perle unter den Live Alben dieser Welt macht. So erscheint das Werk auch gleich mal als CD/Blu-ray und auf Vinyl und erfreut so in Bild und Ton. Bloodbound sind und bleiben also weiterhin die richtige Wahl wenn es um klassischen Powermetal geht. Kaufempfehlung und mehrfache volle Punktzahl für The Tales of Nosferatu von uns!

I don't know how many times I've already mentioned it, but reviewing live albums always has this bland aftertaste for me as to whether the atmosphere of a live performance has actually been captured or whether, as is so often the case, a lot of improvements were made in the studio. Well, in the present case of the album, The Tales of Nosferatu Two Decades of Blood by Bloodbound, all this is completely irrelevant. Just like in 2004, when they started out, Bloodbound do everything right and exactly as the willing fan and listener would wish. So the Swedish power metal formation is not only giving a present to itself, but first and foremost to fans, listeners and buyers with this live album on the occasion of Bloodbound's twentieth birthday. And yes, it is a true gift that Bloodbound serve up here. Not only have the Swedes grown into a real force in the power metal scene over the years, but they have also given it so many hits that some of them have made it into the scene's halls of fame forever. And as you would expect, the band of course serves up their big hits and classics, paired with many newer songs from the band's entire history. All of this was recorded at the brilliant performance at the Masters of Rock Festival 2023, where Bloodbound more than impressed. The atmosphere of the Swedes' performance and the celebratory mood of the fans and festival-goers was captured almost perfectly, making this album a true gem among the live albums of this world. The album is also being released on CD/Blu-ray and vinyl, so it is a pleasure to hear and hear. Bloodbound are and remain the right choice when it comes to classic power metal. Recommended purchase and multiple full points for The Tales of Nosferatu from us!
