Wenn Deutschlands größte Metal Zeitschrift, der Metal Hammer, einer Band das Prädikat, Helden von Morgen, bescheinigt, dann muss das schon etwas heißen. So geschehen bei der deutschen Symphonic Metal Formation und ganz großen Hoffnung vieler, mit Namen, Elvellon. Erst 2015 erschien mit der EP, Spellbound, das erste musikalische Lebenszeichen, welches gleich mal für volle Begeisterung sorgte. Es folgte 2018 das hoch gelobte Debüt, Until Dawn. Jetzt, 2024, also sechs Jahr nach Erscheinen des Debüts, wollen es die Symphonic Metaler endgültig wissen und feuern ihr zweites Studioalbum ab, welches am 17. Mai 2024 das Licht der Welt erblickte und seither über Napalm Records vertrieben wird. Mit den bereits erwähnten Vorschusslorbeeren im Gepäck kann man sich nun also selbst von der Qualität von Ascending Synergy, so der Name des neuen Werkes überzeugen. Und überzeugend ist das was die Band hier abliefert auf alle Fälle. Nelle Messerschmidt, singt sich die Seele aus dem Leib und ihre Musikerkollegen, spielen als säße ihnen der Teufel persönlich im Genick. So entstand ein werk, welches keine Vergleiche mit den ganz Großen der Szene zu fürchten braucht. Ganz im Gegenteil, sollten die alteingesessenen Vertreter, Elvellon ganz genau im Auge behalten. Denn hier kommen zehn Songs, die sich daran machen den Thron zu erobern. Frischer kann ein Wind nicht sein. Mehr Spaß kann ein Symphonic Metal Album beinah nicht mehr machen. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Die Rhythmen, der Gesang, die orchestrale Begleitung sowie die treibenden Hooks. Alles richtig gemacht und auf vollem Kurs. So kann man den Namen, Helden von Morgen ohne weiteres verdienen und auch behalten. Ganz großes Kino. Wir sind gespannt auf das was da noch kommen mag.

When Germany's biggest metal magazine, Metal Hammer, certifies a band as the heroes of tomorrow, that must mean something. This is the case with the German symphonic metal formation and great hope of many, called Elvellon. The first musical sign of life was released in 2015 with the EP, Spellbound, which immediately generated a lot of enthusiasm. This was followed in 2018 by the highly acclaimed debut, Until Dawn. Now, in 2024, six years after the release of their debut, the symphonic metallers have finally decided to go for it and have released their second studio album, which saw the light of day on May 17, 2024 and has since been distributed by Napalm Records. With the aforementioned advance praise in the bag, you can now convince yourself of the quality of Ascending Synergy, the name of the new work. And what the band delivers here is definitely convincing. Nelle Messerschmidt sings her heart out and her fellow musicians play as if the devil himself were breathing down their necks. The result is a work that need fear no comparisons with the greats of the scene. On the contrary, the long-established representatives should keep a close eye on Elvellon. Because here are ten songs that are about to conquer the throne. A wind could not be fresher. A symphonic metal album could hardly be more fun. Everything is just right here. The rhythms, the vocals, the orchestral accompaniment and the driving hooks. Everything done right and on track. So you can easily earn and keep the name Heroes of Tomorrow. Great cinema. We are looking forward to what is yet to come.
