Über Agnostic Front muss wohl nicht mehr viel gesagt werden. Die Hardcore/Punk Pioniere gründeten ihre Formation im Jahr 1982 und sind seither, mit einer kurzen Unterbrechung in den 90er Jahren ein steter Garant für exzellenten Hardcore Punk/Metal. Viele der heute in der Szene bekannte Bands und Künstler würden wohl ohne Agnostic Front nicht wirklich existieren. Wer Agnostic Front kennt der weiß was ihn erwartet, wenn er ein Album der Amerikaner in den Player legt. Nun sind AF, wie sie gern abgekürzt genannt werden beim gerade aufstrebenden Label, Reigning Phoenix unter Vertrag genommen worden und präsentieren hier auch gleich ihr neustes Werk, mit Namen, Echos in Eternity. Fünfzehn knallharte und voll im Style der Band liegende neue Nummern werden jeden Punk, Crossover, Hardcore und Metal Fan in Verzückung bringen. Ich sehe gerade die Konzertbesucher direkt vor mir, die ums wahre „Überleben“ Moshen und dabei auch noch verdammt viel Spaß haben werden. Lassen wir noch kurz zur Geschichte der Band, die Herren und Damen der Presse zu Wort kommen…
AGNOSTIC FRONT wurde 1982 gegründet und zählt zu den angesehensten Pionieren des Hardcore-Genres. Keine andere Band kommt ihrer klanglichen und sozialen Authentizität auch nur annähernd gleich, denn die Überlebenskämpfe auf der Straße haben buchstäblich einen Sound hervorgebracht, der heute noch genauso beeindruckend ist wie vor über vier Jahrzehnten. Ihre harten, sozialkritischen Hymnen legten den Grundstein für den echten New Yorker Hardcore und beflügelten den Aufstieg des Crossover-Thrash. Nach einer kurzen Auflösung Anfang der 90er Jahre kehrte die Band 1998 mit „Something's Gotta Give“ zurück und läutete eine neue Ära mit unermüdlichen Tourneen und überwältigenden Alben ein. Angeführt vom unnachahmlichen Brüllen von Sänger Roger Miret und dem charismatischen, messerscharfen Gitarrenspiel von Vinnie Stigma haben AGNOSTIC FRONT eine Reihe von knallharten Alben veröffentlicht, die ihren Höhepunkt in ihrem gefeierten Album „Get Loud!“ aus dem Jahr 2019 fanden – ein Beweis für ihre anhaltende Relevanz und ihren kompromisslosen Geist.
Viel mehr ist hier an dieser Stelle nicht nötig um das neue Album zu Preisen. Kaufen, Hören, Abfeiern sind hier die Devise.

There's not much more to say about Agnostic Front. The hardcore/punk pioneers formed their band in 1982 and, with a brief hiatus in the 90s, have been a constant source of excellent hardcore punk/metal ever since. Many of the bands and artists known in the scene today would probably not really exist without Agnostic Front. Anyone familiar with Agnostic Front knows what to expect when they put one of the Americans' albums in their player. Now AF, as they are often abbreviated, have been signed to the up-and-coming label Reigning Phoenix and are presenting their latest work, entitled Echoes in Eternity. Fifteen hard-hitting new tracks, fully in keeping with the band's style, will delight every punk, crossover, hardcore, and metal fan. I can just picture the concertgoers right in front of me, moshing for their lives and having a hell of a lot of fun in the process. Let's hear from the ladies and gentlemen of the press about the band's history...
AGNOSTIC FRONT was founded in 1982 and is one of the most respected pioneers of the hardcore genre. No other band comes close to matching their sonic and social authenticity, as their struggles for survival on the streets have literally produced a sound that is just as impressive today as it was over four decades ago. Their hard-hitting, socially critical anthems laid the foundation for authentic New York hardcore and inspired the rise of crossover thrash. After a brief hiatus in the early 90s, the band returned in 1998 with “Something's Gotta Give,” ushering in a new era of relentless touring and overwhelming albums. Led by the inimitable roar of singer Roger Miret and the charismatic, razor-sharp guitar playing of Vinnie Stigma, AGNOSTIC FRONT have released a string of hard-hitting albums, culminating in their acclaimed 2019 album “Get Loud!” – a testament to their enduring relevance and uncompromising spirit.
There's not much more to say here to praise the new album. Buy it, listen to it, celebrate it – that's the motto.
The “old” proves itself once again to be “new” and the best it can be...!
