Aus bereits bekanntem etwas Neues schaffen, ist so alt wie die Geschichte. Dies gilt auch in der Musikbranche. Da sowohl die Technik als auch das Können weiter im Aufwärtstrend stehen, ist dieser Vorgehensweise auch beinahe keine Grenze mehr gesetzt. Visions of Atlantis, die Symphonic Metal Piraten, gehen hier gar einen Schritt weiter. Nachdem ihre neusten Studioversionen/Alben, Pirates und Pirates II – Armada sowohl unter Fans und Kritikern mehr als gut aufgenommen und gar gefeierte wurden, folgte eine Live-Version der Pitates Ära in Form der Liveaufnahme mit Namen, Armada Live over Europe, die die Atmosphäre eines Vision of Atlantis Konzertes einfing und dieses in bester Tonqualität präsentierte. Nun passend zur laufenden Pirates 6 Kings Tour mit den Warkings, begeben sich die Synphonic Piraten auf eine weitere interessante Reise. Armada – An Orchestral Voyage ist die Orchestrale Version der Originalfassung des Albums Pirates II – Armada in der die Gesangspuren komplett durch Orchesterinstrumenten ersetzt wurden. So kommen auf dem am 6.Februar 2026 erschienenen Album, unter anderem instrumente wie Flöten, Violinen und sogar altertümliche Instrumente wie die Duduk zum Einsatz und verwandeln das Powergeladene Ursprungswerk in eine Version der Entspannung und dennoch fühlbaren Dramatik.
Armada – An Orchestral Voyage ist kein Album wie jedes andere. Es ist auch keine Wiederholung oder coverversion eines bereits bestehenden Albums, sondern steht für sich selbst. Es ist eine Reise durch die Geschichte der Pirates Äre von Visions of Atlantis, die dazu einlädt einmal den grauen Alltag zu vergessen und ine eine Welt voller Gefühl und Abenteuer abzutauchen in der man sowohl entspannen als auch feiern kann.
So lassen wir uns ein „Cover“ gefallen und vergeben die volle Punktzahl und Kaufempfehlung. Und dies nicht nur für Fans der Band und ihrer Musik.

As both technology and skill continue to improve, there are almost no limits to this approach. Visions of Atlantis, the symphonic metal pirates, go one step further here. After their latest studio versions/albums, Pirates and Pirates II – Armada, were more than well received and even celebrated by fans and critics alike, a live version of the Pirates era followed in the form of a live recording called Armada Live over Europe, which captured the atmosphere of a Vision of Atlantis concert and presented it in the best sound quality. Now, in keeping with the ongoing Pirates 6 Kings Tour with the Warkings, the symphonic pirates are embarking on another interesting journey. Armada – An Orchestral Voyage is the orchestral version of the original album Pirates II – Armada, in which the vocal tracks have been completely replaced by orchestral instruments. The album, released on February 6, 2026, features instruments such as flutes, violins, and even ancient instruments such as the duduk, transforming the powerful original work into a version of relaxation and yet palpable drama.
Armada – An Orchestral Voyage is not an album like any other. It is also not a repeat or cover version of an existing album, but stands on its own. It is a journey through the history of the Pirates era of Visions of Atlantis, inviting you to forget the gray everyday life and immerse yourself in a world full of emotion and adventure where you can both relax and celebrate.
So we'll accept a “cover” and give it full marks and a recommendation to buy. And not just for fans of the band and their music.
