Der eine oder andere wird nun fragen, warum muss man immer wieder, etwas was seiner Zeit schon ein echter Knaller war, neu auflegen. Das gilt sowohl für Filme, Serien aber natürlich in diesem Fall auch um Musik-Alben. Nun die Antwort könnte hier zum Beispiel heißen, dass das Original gerade seinen zwanzigsten Geburtstag feiert. Die Antwort könnte dann auch weiter heißen, weil in zwanzig Jahren einiges an bisher unveröffentlichtem Bonus Material angesammelt wurde, welches man nun der Wiederveröffentlichung beilegen könnte um selbige gerade für Sammler interessanter zu gestalten. So nun geschehen mit dem Debüt der 2003 gegründeten Power-Metal Band Masterplan. Ex Helloween Gitarrist Roland Grapow gründete seiner Zeit mit Ausnahmesänger Jorn Lande, ebenfalls Ex Helloween Uli Kusch an den Drums, Jürgen Attig am Bass und Janne Wirmann die Band und veröffentlichte das selbstbetitelte Debüt. Heute nun zwanzig Jahre nach Erscheinen veröffentlicht die Band selbiges noch einmal unter dem Label AFM Records. Das Album selbst klingt für mich nach wie vor noch immer wie ein Werk von Helloween, was der Sache an sich damals und auch heute nicht geschadet hat oder schadet. Das nun in der Anniversery Edition gleich drei Bonus Tracks enthalten sind, macht die Geschichte gleich noch einmal so spannend. Besonders wenn man bedenkt, das mit Black Dog, Originally performed by Led Zeppelin, Live in Gothenburg 2003 mit einer Spielzeit von 52:23 Minuten und mit Masterplan Off Stage eine 47:42-Minütige, Documentary als Bonus DVDs der Edition beiliegen. Alles in Allem denken wir kann sich das Teil so, gern sehen lassen. Auf der anderen Seite ist es auch mal wieder interessant diese Goldstücke des Hard but Heavy Revue passieren zu lassen. Denn seien wir doch mal ehrlich, ein geiles Stück Musik war das Teil damals bereits. Und wer weiß, vielleicht entdeckt nun der eine oder andere neue Metaller ebenfalls den Masterplan.

Today twenty years after publication, the band publishes the same again under the AFM Records label. For me, the album itself still sounds like a work of Helloween, which has not harmed the matter itself then and even today. The fact that three bonus tracks are now contained in the Anniversery Edition makes the story so exciting again. Especially when you consider that with Black Dog, Originally Performed by Led Zeppelin, live in Gothenburg 2003 with a playing time of 52:23 minutes and with a master plan off Stage a 47: 42-minute, documentary as a bonus DVDS of the edition. All in all, we can think of the part like that. On the other hand, it is interesting to review these gold pieces of the Hard But Heavy. Because let's be honest, the part was already a horny piece of music. And who knows, maybe one or the other new metal also will also discover the master plan.
