Das ist schon ein echtes Bett, was Ryujin, eigentlich bereits 2011 gegründet, als Gyze, hier unter neuem Namen abliefern. Unter dem alten Bandnamen veröffentlichte das Trio bereits vier erfolgreiche Studioalben, und nennt sich nun um, um unter neuem Banner weitere, neue Erfolge zu feiern. Grob gesagt hat sich aber bis auf den Namen nicht wirklich viel verändert. Ryujin, spielen nach wie vor eine Mischung aus Halsbrecherischem Death/Trash Metal, gepaart mit der einheimischen Musik Japans. So verwundert es auch nicht, das die drei Herren in voller traditioneller japanischer Kleidung die Bühne entert und neben klassischen Gitarren und Drums auch Instrumente ihrer Heimat zum besten geben. So treffen unter anderem, Shamisen, Drachenflöten, Erhu und Taiko auf den eben brachialen Klang der Gitarren und Drums. Der Name Ryujin, stammt im Übrigen vom japanischen Drachengott mit selbigen Namen und wie schon der Name, so huldigt auch die Thematik der Band eben diesem Gott. Die Texte von RYUJIN sind durch die Sprache des Ainu-Volkes von Hokkaido (Heimatregion der Band) geprägt, thematisieren die Kraft des Meeres und sind unter anderem von berühmten japanischen Gemälden inspiriert. (Anmerkung der Kollegen von Napalm Records). Wer die drei Herren schon einmal live erleben konnte, weiß das sie auch auf der Bühne alles geben. So ist ein Konzert mit Ryujin, genau das Richtige für Auge, Ohr und dem Versuch einmal allem Frust richtig Luft zu machen. Als Vorgeschmack auf sicherlich in Kürze anstehende Konzerte, können wir nun, das „Debüt“ unter neuem Namen, mit insgesamt zwölf neuen Songs, nur wärmstens Empfehlen.
This is a real bed that Ryujin, actually founded in 2011 as Gyze, is delivering here under a new name. The trio has already released four successful studio albums under their old band name and is now changing their name in order to celebrate further new successes under a new banner. Roughly speaking, apart from the name, not much has really changed. Ryujin, still play a mixture of breakneck death/trash metal paired with the native music of Japan. So it's no surprise that the three men take the stage in full traditional Japanese clothing and, in addition to classical guitars and drums, also perform instruments from their homeland. Among other things, shamisen, dragon flutes, erhu and taiko meet the brutal sound of the guitars and drums. The name Ryujin comes from the Japanese dragon god with the same name and like the name, the band's theme also pays homage to this god. RYUJIN's lyrics are influenced by the language of the Ainu people of Hokkaido (the band's home region), address the power of the sea and are inspired, among other things, by famous Japanese paintings. (Note from colleagues at Napalm Records). Anyone who has ever seen the three men live knows that they give their all on stage. So a concert with Ryujin is exactly the right thing for the eyes, ears and the attempt to vent all the frustration properly. As a foretaste of upcoming concerts, we can only warmly recommend the “debut” under a new name, with a total of twelve new songs.
