Bereits seit 2004 treiben Inner Sanctum ihr „Unwesen“ im Death Metal. So ist man nun mit dem vierten Studioalbum am Start und knüpft nahtlos an die bisherigen drei Alben an. Über zwanzig Jahre hat die aus Freiburg stammende Kapelle nun bereits auf dem Buckel. Zwanzig Jahre, in denen man sich besonders durch die unzähligen Liveauftritte einen Namen in der Szene schuf. Das nun aktuelle Album, The Great Odd Ones, handelt inhaltlich von den Meeresgöttern, namens The Great Odd Ones, die allein durch ihre unsägliche Macht, schrecklichen Einfluss auf die Menschheit, ihr Seien und Tun Einfluss nehmen. Diese bösartigen Wesen korrumpieren den Verstand und führen zur Entstehung von Idolen, Aberglauben und Kulten. Inspiriert durch eigene Erfahrungen und sowie der Auslotung der Lovecraft’schen Welt des Horrors, entstand das nun vorliegende neue Studioalbum. Zwar wendet sich das Material diesmal mehr dem Heavy Metal zu, doch kann man mit tödlicher Sicherheit den Inner Sanctum eigenen Style nicht verleugnen. Für Fans des klassischen Death Metal führt hier kein Weg dran vorbei. So setzen die neun aktuellen Stücke einen ganz klaren weiten Meilenstein in der Bandgeschichte, die wohl dann in Zukunft sicher ihren Weg auch auf die Bühnen der Welt und somit in die Live-Gehörgänge finden werden. Wir wünschen viel Vergnügen bei diesem wahren Soundgewitter…!

Inner Sanctum have been up to no good in death metal since 2004. Now they are back with their fourth studio album, following on seamlessly from their previous three albums. The band from Freiburg has now been around for over twenty years. Twenty years in which they have made a name for themselves in the scene, particularly through their countless live performances. The current album, The Great Odd Ones, is about the sea gods, called The Great Odd Ones, who have a terrible influence on mankind, their being and doing, solely through their unspeakable power. These malevolent beings corrupt the mind and lead to the creation of idols, superstitions and cults. Inspired by their own experiences and the exploration of Lovecraft's world of horror, this new studio album was created. Although the material turns more towards heavy metal this time, there is no denying Inner Sanctum's own style with deadly certainty. For fans of classic death metal, there is no way around it. Thus, the nine current tracks set a clear milestone in the band's history, which will surely find their way onto the stages of the world and thus into the live aisles in the future. We hope you enjoy this true thunderstorm of sound...!
