Die im Jahr 1986 in Baden-Württemberg gegründete, Progressive Metalband, Ivanhoe, melden sich mit neuen Bandmitgliedern und neuem Studioalbum zurück. Nach bisher veröffentlichten acht Alben plus drei Demos, erscheint nun das neunte Studioalbum, unter dem Namen, Healed by the Sun. Nach eigener Aussage der Bandmitglieder geht man mit dem neuen Material weit zurück zu den Anfängen der Band und vollzieht mit dem neuen Material einen Querschnitt von dem was man über die Jahre hinweg produziert hat. Die Songs und Rhythmen sind hierbei eingänglicher und mit viel Liebe zum Detail sehr anspruchsvoll produziert worden. So bekommt der werte Hörer neben den zwölf neuen Songs, sowie als Bonus noch eine Neuauflage vom bekannten Song, Awaiting Judgement, der hier als Bonus mitgeliefert wird, ein Album, welches ganz im Style der Band daherkommt. Man macht keine Kompromisse oder gar unnötige Experimente und verlässt sich lieber voll auf Altbewährtes. Hiermit fährt Ivanhoe dann auch gleich die beste Schiene. Durch die neuen Mitglieder klingt man 2024 frisch und spielfreudig. So darf es sehr gern weitegehen. Da freut man sich direkt die Formation dann live erleben zu dürfen. The progressive metal band Ivanhoe, founded in 1986 in Baden-Württemberg, are back with new band members and a new studio album. After releasing eight albums plus three demos, the ninth studio album, Healed by the Sun, is now being released. According to the band members, the new material takes the band way back to its beginnings and is a cross-section of what they have produced over the years. The songs and rhythms are more catchy and have been produced with great attention to detail. In addition to the twelve new songs, plus a new edition of the well-known song Awaiting Judgement, which is included here as a bonus, the valued listener gets an album that is completely in the band's style.
