Da ist es nun also endlich. Fast vier Jahre hat es gedauert, das der Nachfolger des wohl bis jetzt härtesten Eisbrecher Albums mit Namen, Liebe macht Monster, dass Licht der Welt erblickt hat. Vieles ist passiert in der Zwischenzeit, so musste Frontmann, Gründer und Aushängeschild Alex Wesselsky sich durch ein paar schwere Erkrankungen kämpfen. Ach Master Mind und Gitarrist Noel Pix, kämpfte erst mit der Gesundheit und verließ schließlich und unendlich den alten Kahn und ließ seine Mannschaft und eine wahrlich große musikalische Reise durch Eis und Sturm zurück. Ihn ersetzt nun der sympathische Neuzugang, Marc Richter. Kommen wir aber zudem was es zu beurteilen gibt. Kaltfront°!. So der Titel des neuen Albums. Selbiges kündigte sich in den letzten Monaten bereits durch ein paar Singleauskopplungen an. Und selbige Auskopplungen ließen schon einmal viel erwarten. Soviel sei schon einmal verraten, der Eisbrecher ist auf verdammt hartem Kurs unterwegs. Schon mit dem Intro Minus 90 Grad, geht die Band einen riesen Schritt Rückwärts und präsentiert ein eiskaltes Einführungsstück, welches an das damalige Debüt von 2003 und dem Polarstern erinnert. Im Anschluss gibt es gleich das erste mal so richtig aufs, Maul. Everything is Wunderbar, die zweite Singleauskopplung, wird dem Hörer mit voller Kraft voraus um die Ohren gehauen. Ein verdammt cooler Rocker, der mir persönlich schon den Spaß auf das neue Werk und die damit verbundene Wartezeit schier unmöglich machte. Es folgt der nächste Kracher. Kaltfront. Ebenfalls bereits als Single ausgekoppelt. Der Song steht seinem Vorgänger in nichts nach. Volle Kanne Knüppel aus dem Sack und immer kräftig drauf. Die Nummer vier, was soll ich sagen, mit Auf die Zunge schlägt der Eisbrecher zusammen mit Schattenmann gleich wieder voll zu und trifft genau auf die Zwölf. Eine verdammt schöne Nummer mit dem eigentlich alles sagenden Namen, Waffen Waffen Waffen trifft nicht nur direkt ins Gehör, sondern auch ins Hirn. Eisbrecher nimmt, und das ist auch verdammt gut so, noch immer kein Blatt vor den Mund und greift aktuelle Zeitgeschehnisse auf und hält sie dem Hörer direkt vors Gesicht. Wir wollen keinen Krieg, wir brauchen keine Waffen, Waffen und schon gar keine Waffen. Wer jetzt denkt, die harte Reise müsste doch jetzt mal enden, der irrt gewaltig. Dein Herz, könnte ein Abkömmling der Debüt Single, Mein Blut, sein, nur mit weniger elektronischen Einflüssen, dafür mit massig harten Schlagzeug und Gitarren Riffs. Der bass geht verdammt tief in die Magengrube! Zeitgeist, sorry Leute ich bekomme das Grinsen nicht mehr aus dem Gesicht. Hier kommt ein Hit. Der Song ist eine Verknüpfung aus Härte und Hyper, Hyper Rhythmen ala Scooter. Zuckerguss auf das bisher gehörte. Herrlich dieser Chorus… Oh,Oh,Oh Zeitgeistbaby, Hosa, Trullala, ich schmeiß mich weg Leute. Wenn das der neue Zeitgeist wäre, dann wäre ich sofort dabei, leider hat auch dieser Song verdammt viel Tiefgang. Das trifft dann auch auf, Das neu Normal zu. Mega hart erzählt uns der Eisbrecher auf welchem Weg wir uns in Richtung Abgrund bewegen. Hammer Song.
Die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt feat. Sotiria ist dann eine etwas softere, aber dennoch harte Nummer, die durch viel Electronic getragen wird. Einzelgänger und Toi Toi Toi schließen sich an und reihen sich in das bis zu diesem Punkt tatsächlich härtesten Stück musikalischen Schaffens des Eisbrechers ein. Der Michael Holm Song, Tränen lügen nicht, in einer wunderschönen Coverversion, zu der ich das Video nur jedem empfehlen kann, guckt das Teil unbedingt bis zum Schluss, nimmt dann die Fahrt um ein vieles zurück. Eine herrlich schöne „schwarze“ Ballade, die so nur ein Herr Wesselsky zum besten geben kann. Tja, dass war es dann auch schon mit der kurzen Ruhepause. Es folgen Satt, eine weitere Brettharte Nummer, Festung der Einsamkeit (den Song gibt es im Übrigen als Piano Version, nur auf dem Sonic Seducer Sampler Ausgabe 03/2025), ein Rotzharter Midtempo Song der dann das Ende mit Namen Auf Kalt einleitet. Auf Kalt ist zu guter Letzt das Pardon zum Intro Minus 90 Grad und beschließt als Outro, dass wie schon erwähnt tatsächlich härteste Stück der bisherigen Eisbrecher Musikgeschichte.
Ich bin schon jetzt mehr als gespannt, wie die Herren Wesselsky, Planger, Kelpinger, Färber und nun eben auch Richter, dieses Stück edlen Deutschrock auf der kommenden Tour präsentieren werden. Eins ist aber bereits ganz klar,
