Du stehst auf Power Metal, mit dem gewissen etwas an Gefühl und Finesse ? Dann dürftest du bei dieser, im Jahr 2020 gegründeten neuen Hoffnungsträchtigen Formation aus Stuttgart, genau richtig sein. Black & Damned, eigentlich aus der Verzweiflung des Nichtstuns erzeugt durch die weltweite Pandemie entstanden, startete bereits ein Jahr nach der Gründung mit ihrem ersten Studioalbum voll durch. Bereits zwei Jahre später folgte der Nachfolger und der Name Black & Damned landet urplötzlich in aller Munde. Sie sind anders, und genau das macht es eben aus. Power Metal gespielt mit Hingabe und einer gewissen Art der Verspieltheit. Nicht Knüppel aus dem Sack, sondern verdammt gefühlvoll und dennoch mit genügen Druck. Die Songs entführen in andere Welten und lassen das hier und jetzt für eine gewisse Zeit einfach verschwinden. Nun erschien gerade der dritte Longplayer der Mannen. Zehn weitere Songs, die dem eingeschlagenen Weg folgen und in bester Manie produziert wurden. Das die Herren das Tempo aber sehr wohl auch schon mal etwas erhöhen können, dass beweist der Song Searing Flames. Selbiger geht schon recht Flott nach vorn und sorgt für eine gewisse Abwechslung. War man gerade noch voll in Gedanken versunken, so ist man urplötzlich Hellwach und kann gar nicht anders als den Song zu feiern.
Fazit, das Album ist mal eine echte Abwechslung im ganzen Mainstream, und darf sich gern zu einer der großen Überraschungen im Jahr 2025 zählen. Von uns bekommt das Album jedenfalls die verdiente Beachtung und Empfehlung an alle Interessierten.

Do you like power metal with that certain something of feeling and finesse? Then this new promising formation from Stuttgart, founded in 2020, should be just right for you. Black & Damned, actually born out of the desperation of doing nothing caused by the global pandemic, hit the ground running with their first studio album just one year after their formation. The follow-up followed just two years later and the name Black & Damned was suddenly on everyone's lips. They are different, and that's what makes them different. Power metal played with dedication and a certain kind of playfulness. Not bludgeoning out of the bag, but damned soulful and yet with enough pressure. The songs take you to other worlds and make the here and now simply disappear for a while. The band's third longplayer has just been released. Ten more songs that follow the chosen path and were produced in the best possible manner. However, the song Searing Flames proves that the gentlemen can also increase the tempo a little. It moves forward quite quickly and provides a certain amount of variety. If you've just been lost in thought, you're suddenly wide awake and can't help but celebrate the song.
To sum up, the album is a real change from the mainstream and may well be one of the big surprises of 2025. In any case, we give the album the attention it deserves and recommend it to all interested parties.
