Tja, so ist das manchmal. Da bekommt man soviel neue Musik auf den Tisch, und stellt fest, das da gleich mehrere echte Kracher am Start sind. Das ist in der Regel auch gar kein Problem, doch wenn man dann doch etwas Parteiisch ist und der einen oder anderen Formation einen kleinen Vorsprung verschaffen möchte, dann muss man auch mal nachgeben. Das heißt aber nicht, das wir den anderen Bands keine Chance einräumen und so präsentieren wir euch diese „Perle“ hier nur eben eine Woche später.
Die 2012 in Kroatien gegründete Formation Manntra, die auf Folk Metal spezialisiert und eingeschossen ist, ist nämlich mal wieder fleißig im Studio gewesen und überzeugt nun kräftig mit ihrem neuen Studiowerk, Titans. Zwölf neue Kracher, ganz und gar in der Manie der Kroaten erwarten den werten Hörer. So präsentieren sich Manntra voll und ganz in bester Laune und ihrem eigenen Style. Hart, Folk lastig und direkt nach Vorn ausgerichtet. So treffen abermals authentische Folk-Instrumente wie Flöten und Mandolinen auf energiegeladenen Industrial-Metal der durch Markos rauen Gesang vervollständigt wird. Mit anderen Worten Harter Stoff der einfach zum Feiern lädt und beste Laune verbreitet.
Manntra selbst ist mittlerweile eine kleine, große Nummer mit der in der Szene zu jeder Zeit zu rechnen sein muss. So ist Titans das nunmehr mittlerweile achte Studioalbum. So machte man sich unter anderem einen Namen, indem man Gastmusiker wie niemand geringeren als Micha Rhein von In Extreme in seinen Reihen begrüßen konnte und daraufhin als Gast beim In-Extremo-Festival zum 20-jährigen Jubiläum aufspielte und das Publikum von seinem Können überzeugen konnte. Wo wir gerade von Live-haftiger Überzeugung sind, Manntra tuen dies jedes Mal mit größter Überzeugungskraft auf eigenen Touren oder als Support unter anderem bei Festivals wie dem, Metaldays, dem Wacken Open Air und dem Rockharz Open Air.
Nun ist man also zurück mit neuem Material und ist bereit damit auch noch die letzten noch stehenden Hütten abzureißen. Dies gelingt der Band dann auch wieder einmal mit wahrlicher Leichtigkeit, durch treibende Rhythmen, scharfen Riffs und der sich durch Mark und Bein schneidenden Stimme eines Marko Matijevic Sekul.
Also wer noch nicht zugeschlagen hat und sich Titans zugelegt hat, der sollte dies mit einer von uns mit voller Punktzahl bewerteten Empfehlung schnell nachholen.

Well, that's how it is sometimes. You get so much new music on the table and realize that there are several real hits at the start. That's usually not a problem, but if you're a bit biased and want to give one or the other band a head start, then you have to give in sometimes. But that doesn't mean that we don't give the other bands a chance and so we present this “pearl” to you just one week later.
Founded in Croatia in 2012, Manntra, who specialize in folk metal, have once again been busy in the studio and are now impressing us with their new studio work, Titans. Twelve new hits in the Croatian style await the listener. Manntra present themselves in a great mood and in their own style. Hard, folk-heavy and straight forward. Once again, authentic folk instruments such as flutes and mandolins meet energetic industrial metal, complemented by Marko's rough vocals. In other words, hard stuff that simply invites you to party and spreads the best mood.
Manntra itself is now a small, big name to be reckoned with in the scene at all times. Titans is now their eighth studio album. Among other things, the band made a name for itself by welcoming guest musicians such as none other than Micha Rhein from In Extreme to its ranks and then playing as a guest at the In-Extremo festival for its 20th anniversary and convincing the audience of its skills. Speaking of live conviction, Manntra do this every time with great conviction on their own tours or as support at festivals such as Metaldays, Wacken Open Air and Rockharz Open Air.
Now they are back with new material and are ready to tear down the last standing huts. Once again, the band succeeds in doing so with true ease, with driving rhythms, sharp riffs and the voice of Marko Matijevic Sekul, which cuts through marrow and bone.
