Mit, A Tribute of Insanity, erscheint eines, wenn nicht gar das erste echte Thrash Metal Album Schwedens. Genau vor 37 Jahren, nämlich am 17. Oktober 1988, veröffentlichte die Schwedische Band, Hexenhaus, die sich nach dem weltberühmten, Malefizhaus in Bamberg, Deutschland, einem schrecklichen Ort, an dem im frühen 17. Jahrhundert Hunderte von mutmaßlichen Hexen gefoltert und hingerichtet wurden, benannt hatten, dieses einzigartige Zeugnis des Thrash Metals, seinerzeit aber nur auf Vinyl. Das Album selbst bestand aus vier Demo Tracks, die die Band noch unter ihrem alten Namen aufgenommen und nur auf Musikkassette veröffentlicht hatten und vier extra für die Albumveröffentlichung geschriebenen Songs. Das Album schlug seinerzeit ein wie eine Bombe und galt neben Slayer und Metallica sehr schnell als eines der größten Alben der Szene. Auch heute noch setzt das Album wahre Maßstäbe. Nun wurde selbiges Werk erneut veröffentlicht. Diesmal auf CD und farbigem Vinyl, ausgestattet mit neuen Liner Notes und einem exklusiven Geschichtstext. Remastered von Ronnie Björnström. Ein muss für jeden Fan!
A Tribute of Insanity is one of, if not Sweden's first true thrash metal album. Exactly 37 years ago, on October 17, 1988, the Swedish band, Hexenhaus, who named themselves after the world-famous Malefizhaus in Bamberg, Germany, a horrible place where hundreds of suspected witches were tortured and executed in the early 17th century, released this unique testament to thrash metal, but only on vinyl at the time. The album itself consisted of four demo tracks, which the band had recorded under their old name and only released on music cassette, and four songs written especially for the album release. The album hit like a bomb at the time and was quickly regarded as one of the biggest albums in the scene alongside Slayer and Metallica. The album still sets true standards today. Now the same work has been re-released. This time on CD and colored vinyl, equipped with new liner notes and an exclusive history text. Remastered by Ronnie Björnström. A must for every fan!
