MAD DOGS – The Future is Now

Wer auf Rock der 60er/70er Jahre, gepaart mit einer Priese rotzigem Punk steht, der ist bei der Band, Mad Dogs bestens bedient. Die Band festigte sich 2016 nach mehreren internen Neubesetzungen zu einem Quartett, welches seither zusammen musiziert. Ob nun Live oder in diesen Tagen auf mittlerweile drei veröffentlichten Longplayern. Man hat sich von Beginn an dem Rock verschrieben und zelebriert selbigen in einem eigenen Style, bestehend aus einer Mischung von Garage Rock, Action Rock und Proto-Punk. Besonders das zweite Album, „We Are Ready To Testify“, fand großes Interesse und erhielt durchweg gute Kritiken. Nun im Jahr 2025 macht man sich auf um mit dem gerade erschienenen dritten Studioalbum erneut zu Punkten. Elf brandneue Nummern erwarten den Hörer und servieren den einzigartigen Rock der 60er und 70er Jahre ganz im Style von Mad Dogs. Wer die Band kennt, wird nicht enttäuscht und kommt auch diesmal beim wiederum über Go Down Records veröffentlichten Werk voll auf seine Kosten. Roh und Rockig, ganz so als wäre die gute Alte Zeit zurück. Mad Dogs laden ein zu einer echten Zeitreise, die bereits auf dem im Retro Style entworfenen Album Cover beginnt. Selbiges ziert eine abhebende Rakete, die mich persönlich, als alten Schrauber, irgendwie an ein H4 Halogen Leuchtmittel erinnert.
Egal, auf den Inhalt kommt es hauptsächlich an, und der kann sich durchweg hören lassen.
Und immer daran denken liebe Fans, Freunde, Hörer und Leser, die Zukunft ist jetzt, so genießt jeden Augenblich genau so, als wäre es euer Letzter. Wir haben alle nur ein Leben!

If you're into 60s/70s rock paired with a dash of snotty punk, then Mad Dogs is the band for you. After several internal lineup changes, the band solidified into a quartet in 2016 and has been playing together ever since. Whether live or on their three albums released to date. From the very beginning, they have been committed to rock and celebrate it in their own style, consisting of a mixture of garage rock, action rock, and proto-punk. Their second album, “We Are Ready To Testify,” in particular, attracted a lot of interest and received consistently good reviews. Now, in 2025, they are setting out to score again with their third studio album, which has just been released. Eleven brand new tracks await the listener, serving up the unique rock of the 60s and 70s in true Mad Dogs style. Those who know the band will not be disappointed and will once again get their money's worth with this release, again on Go Down Records. Raw and rocking, it's as if the good old days are back. Mad Dogs invite you on a real journey through time, which begins with the retro-style album cover. It features a rocket taking off, which, as an old mechanic, somehow reminds me of an H4 halogen light bulb.
Anyway, it's the content that matters most, and it's definitely worth listening to.
