Wenn ich mir die Mühe mache ein Live-Album genauer unter die Lupe zu nehmen, dann muss es sich entweder um eine der ganz großen Bands oder um eine Aufnahme handeln, die etwas Besonderes darstellt. Nun im Fall von, Wildlive, von Powerwolf, muss ich zugeben, dass hier beides zutrifft. Powerwolf sind seit Jahren eine aus der Szene nicht mehr wegzudenkende Kraft. So sind ihre Alben allesamt gefeierte kleine Meisterwerke und ihre Liveauftritte mittlerweile legendär. Volle hallen, großartige Bühnenshows und eine unbeschreibliche Stimmung in den Hallen und Open Air Arenen sind hier schon beinah Standard. Nun erschien also das hier zu beurteilende Live-Album, Wildlive, aufgenommen auf der Wolfsnächte-Tour 2024 in der ausverkauften Münchner Olympiahalle. Was für eine Tour, was für ein Konzert! Wer Powerwolf 2024 live erleben durfte, wird mir zustimmen, dass es wohl die größte und bis jetzt großartigste Show in der Geschichte der Band war. Mit Supports wie Hammerfall und Wind Rose waren sowohl diese als auch mit Powerwolf himself die Headlinerposition mega besetzt und so konnte überhaupt nichts schief gehen. Das diese wahnsinnstour mit so vielen unbeschreiblichen musikalischen als auch optischen Eindrücken nun auch auf Tonträger veröffentlicht wurde, dürfte da niemanden verwundern. Powerwolf präsenieren auf Wildlive, nicht nur eine Palette von zwanzig ihrer größten Songs, sondern fangen auch gleich noch die unfassbare Stimmung in der Halle und auf der Bühne perfekt ein. So hat der werte Hörer vom ersten bis zum letzten Ton das Gefühl Live und mittendrin, statt nur dabei zu sein, wenn die „Werwöfte“ unter anderem Songs wie, Bless‘em with the Blade, Army oft he Night, Demons are the Girls best Friend oder natürlich das unverwechselbare, We drink your Blood zum Besten geben. Hier, so scheint es ist nicht ein Song am falschen Platz und man erhält die volle Powermetal-Ladung mitten in die „Fresse“! Eine metalische Messe so wie ein wahrhaftes „Stoßgebet“, welches nicht nur als Tonträger noch lange nachhalt, sondern welches die Erinnerung an das Live erlebte so sehr wiedererweckt, als wäre die Show gerade erst gestern zu sehen gewesen.
Fazit, Wildlive ist eine wahrlich großartige Platte die sowohl zur Erinnerung als auch eine Herausforderung gelten darf, an all die Jenigen die die Wolfsnächte Tour verpasst haben, sich dies Band unbedingt einmal live zu geben. Ein Live-Epos, welches die Band Powerwolf auf ihrer Position ganz oben in der Metal Szene festigt und Lust auf mehr macht!

When I take the trouble to examine a live album more closely, it has to be either one of the really big bands or a recording that is something special. Now, in the case of Wildlive by Powerwolf, I have to admit that both apply here. Powerwolf have been an indispensable force on the scene for years. Their albums are all celebrated little masterpieces and their live performances have become legendary. Full halls, great stage shows, and an indescribable atmosphere in the halls and open-air arenas are almost standard here. Now the live album to be reviewed here, Wildlive, has been released, recorded on the Wolfsnächte Tour 2024 in the sold-out Munich Olympiahalle. What a tour, what a concert! Anyone who had the chance to experience Powerwolf live in 2024 will agree with me that it was probably the biggest and greatest show in the band's history to date. With support acts such as Hammerfall and Wind Rose, both they and Powerwolf themselves were mega headliners, so nothing could go wrong. It should come as no surprise that this insane tour, with so many indescribable musical and visual impressions, has now been released on record. On Wildlive, Powerwolf not only present a selection of twenty of their greatest songs, but also perfectly capture the incredible atmosphere in the hall and on stage. From the first note to the last, the listener feels like they are live and right in the middle of it all, instead of just being there, when the “werewolves” perform songs such as Bless'em with the Blade, Army of the Night, Demons are the Girls' Best Friend, and of course the unmistakable We Drink Your Blood. Here, it seems, there isn't a single song out of place, and you get the full power metal charge right in your face! A metal mass like a true “quick prayer,” which not only lasts long as a recording, but also revives the memory of the live experience as if the show had just been seen yesterday.
In conclusion, Wildlive is a truly great record that serves both as a reminder and a challenge to all those who missed the Wolfsnächte Tour to definitely see this band live. A live epic that consolidates the band Powerwolf's position at the top of the metal scene and leaves you wanting more!
