Mit Speglas kommt frischer Wind aus Schweden, in die Black / Death Metal Szene. Die 2015 gegründete Band konzentriert ihren Sound von Anfang an auf Black / Death Metal, gepaart mit einer kräftigen Mischung aus klassischen Hard Rock und Heavy Metal klängen. Hierbei beweist die Band ihr händchen dafür, trotz der gewählten härteren Gangart dennoch gefühlvoll, ja gar verletzlich zu erscheinen. Mit ihren bisher veröffentlichten zwei EPs, „Birth, Dreams & Death“ (2015, Imperium) und „Time,
Futility & Death“ (2022, Pulverised), ebnette Speglas den weg für das nun erschienen Debütalbum, „Endarkenment, Being & Death“. Nun will man sich verstärkt daranmachen und sich auf liveaktivitäten konzentrieren, um den Sound des nordischen Vierers auf die bühne zu bekommen. Der Anfang ist gemacht. Nun darf man gespannt sein, wo die Reise hingeht.
Das von Simon Söderberg (Ghost, Henrik Palm) im Studio Mayfire
gemischt und von Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna, Ulcerate, Russian Circles etc.) gemasterte Album, ist ab sofort erhältlich und enthält acht neue Kompositionen, die durchaus ihre Berechtigung in der Szene haben.

Speglas brings a breath of fresh air from Sweden to the black/death metal scene. Founded in 2015, the band has focused its sound on black/death metal from the outset, paired with a powerful mix of classic hard rock and heavy metal sounds. The band demonstrates its knack for appearing soulful, even vulnerable, despite its chosen harder approach. With their two EPs released to date, “Birth, Dreams & Death” (2015, Imperium) and "Time,
Futility & Death“ (2022, Pulverised), Speglas paved the way for their debut album, ”Endarkenment, Being & Death," which has now been released. Now they want to step up their efforts and focus on live activities to bring the sound of the Nordic quartet to the stage. The first step has been taken. Now we can look forward to seeing where the journey takes us.
The album, mixed by Simon Söderberg (Ghost, Henrik Palm) at Studio Mayfire
and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna, Ulcerate, Russian Circles, etc.), is now available and contains eight new compositions that definitely have their place in the scene.
